Tensioner timing belt DiTD
Tensioner timing belt turbo diesel engines Mazda 323, 626, Premacy, Mazda6 and MPV
After having replaced the tensioner for the timing belt in cars with turbo diesel engines it happens that already after a few days these cars have engine-trouble with the timing belt and/or timing gear. Research has shown us that the tension of the timing belt is reduced based on disfunction of the tensioner.
New tensioners from stock, after removal of the lock pin and therewith expansion of the pressure spindle, show that this spindle is not “rigid”, meaning that it can be pushed in by hand.
This disfunction can occur while stocking this tensioner in a horizontal position. Oil leakage can occur, damaging this tensioner. Prior to the assembling of this tensioner one has to ascertain the rigidness of this tensioner.
